A FibroScan is a non-invasive medical test used to assess the health of the liver, particularly focusing on:

1. Liver stiffness (which indicates fibrosis or scarring)

2. Fat content in the liver (which indicates steatosis or fatty liver)

How It Works:

FibroScan uses a technology called transient elastography. It sends a small pulse of energy into the liver using a probe placed on the skin, and then measures how fast the vibrations move through the liver tissue.
